Terms and Conditions

1. General Provisions

The online store (hereinafter, "the Store") sells retail via the Internet under these conditions. Owner: SUNRISE Michael Rywacki (Sunrise Chess & Games), Szarugi 59a, 21-002 Marysin, Poland, EU VAT number (PL): 7121979162, Tel.: +48 81 740 96 14, E-mail: tienda@ajedrezdemadera.com. Prices are shown in euros, including taxes (VAT). Products are new and free of defects.

2. Orders and Contract Formation

Orders can be placed at ajedrezdemadera.com, by e-mail (tienda@ajedrezdemadera.com) or via the "Contact" form. The customer must provide truthful data to allow processing and delivery. The contract is considered concluded when the customer receives the order confirmation email. The Store may cancel orders in case of obvious error, unavailability, or suspicion of fraud (with full refund, if applicable).

3. Prices and Payments

Shipping options and costs are shown in the cart/checkout. Order preparation begins after payment is received, except for specific agreements (e.g., educational centers).

4. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping via carrier (e.g., UPS/GLS) or arranged pickup. Estimated times: processing within a maximum of 5 business days after payment and dispatch within 48 hours; usual transit to Europe is 2-4 business days. For bank transfer payments, shipping begins after effective receipt of funds.

5. Taxes and Customs

Prices include VAT for delivery addresses within the EU. For orders outside the EU, the customer may be subject to customs duties or import taxes according to their country; they are responsible for paying them if applicable.

6. Legal Warranty and Claims

All products are insured against loss or damage during transport. Upon receipt, the customer must inspect the package and report any issues as soon as possible. The legal conformity warranty for consumers is 2 years. To file a claim, send photos and a description of the defect to tienda@ajedrezdemadera.com; if applicable, return the product with the description. The Store will respond within 14 business days (period extendable if expert assessment is required). If the claim is justified, the Store will cover the reasonable return costs.

7. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

The customer has 14 calendar days from receipt to withdraw without reason. Notification can be sent by e-mail. Products must be returned complete, unused, and in their original packaging within 14 days following the notification. Unless otherwise indicated, return costs may be borne by the customer.

Refund: within 14 days from the withdrawal notification; the Store may withhold it until receiving the goods or proof of shipment. Refunds will be made by the same payment method, unless otherwise agreed, and without charges to the customer. The Store may deduct depreciation for use beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions: products made according to customer specifications, personalized, or subject to rapid deterioration; purchases made by professionals.

8. Personalized Products

Engraved/personalized items made to order are not exchanged or returned (without prejudice to the customer's rights in case of non-conformity).

9. Invoicing

An invoice with VAT is issued if requested during the order.

10. Data Protection

11. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

The contract is governed by Polish law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the customer's country of residence. Consumers may go to the courts of their residence or any competent jurisdiction in the EU.
